Carol's Cards: Hearts Challenge Fun Flower Die

Carol's Cards: Hearts Challenge Fun Flower Die

Hearts Challenge

This is for the challenge at sunny morning chat  at butternut sage designs.  Come over and see what we made.
I like hearts, but I'm not really a valentine giver, persay, but this is what I came up with, girls.  I thought about chocolate because of valentine's, so I used the dark brown paper, embossed with the houndstooth, the new heart from the mini catalog, and the striped ribbon. enjoy...  Carol Smithhttp://www.butternutsagedesigns.blogspot.com/

As you know, I love birds.  This birdcage was embossed in black to make it pop.  Added some punched flowers with a brad.  Cute.  Talk to ya later. Carol Smith

Just Believe

This is a beautiful, ingenious way to use the stamp from just believe.  Made first by Butternutsagedesigns.blogspot.com.. Thanks Donna, I just love this.  I will be making more in different colors.  I hope you don't mind.  I put a little crystal in the center of the flowers, too.  for added sparkle.  Talk to ya later.  Carol Smith

Just Believe

Love purples...  More of the Just believe set.  Thanks for looking.  Talk to ya later.  Carol Smith

Flocked paper

Hello, I really like this flocked paper. I didn't realize it was flocked when I ordered it, but it's so rich.  Butterflies are from the printed newspaper pages.  And I added some glitter to the butterflies which makes them look alive somewhat.  Thanks for looking. Carol Smith

Sunny Morning Challenge-Explosion Box

Hi, Ladies!  Come on over to the Sunny Morning chat at butternut sage design chat on Monday at 10:00.  This challenge was a lot of fun!  I had to google an explosion box to find out just what they were, however, and it gave me the dimensions and directions.  Cool.  Anyway, we have 3 pugs that I used for my theme.  Petey, Benny and Woody.  My husband calls them The Boys.  Hope you enjoy it.  I did!  Carol Smith

Explosion Box-inside

This is the inside of my explosion box! Filled with cute pictures of "The Boys", as my husband calls them.  :)  This was a really fun project. Now I have a conversation piece sitting in the living room to open up and enjoy. Thanks, Donna.  Talk to ya later. Carol Smithhttp://www.butternutsagedesigns.blogspot.com/

Thoughts and Prayers

Yellow is not one of my favorite colors, until lately.  It is so complimentary to a lot of colors.  Anyway, I like to use mini brads in the centers of these tiny flowers.  It adds dimension yet compliments the stamp.  This would look wonderful in any color combination... like navy... green...   Thanks for looking. Carol Smith

Thoughts and Prayers

A lot of times, I won't put a salutation on my cards until I need it.  That way, I can use it for any occasion. Talk to ya later.  Carol Smith

New Punches

I got some new punches for Christmas, they are Martha Stewart punches, but they make beautiful borders.  I saw a tutorial on using corner punches around circles, ovals, and borders, so naturally, I had to try it too!  The green one is hard to see, but I have solid green behing the cream, just like the blue card.  And I also got a butterfly.  Cute!  They are easy to use.  Give it a try.  You can see a tutorial on Maria's Craft blog.  See ya later.
