Color Blog Hop-Merry Christmas!

Good morning, ladies!  It's here, at the eve of Christmas already!  I'm just about Christmas't out, having made Sooo many Christmas cards.  Here's one more... I haven't seen Amanda's card yet, but I'll bet she's on the same wavelength.  www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com.  Our colors are Very Vanilla, So Saffron, Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo, and Smoky Slate.  Unconventional colors for Christmas, but they are pretty and candy-like.  I just lined up  Christmas balls on a ribbon stamped in smoky slate, and added some stars in between.  The balls have glitter on them, which is hard to see, but they sparkle in real life.  I know Helen has more Christmas Spirit left, so lets go see what she made for us.  www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com.  Love her style, it always surprises me.  Thanks for visiting, we'll be here next week also, and have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines

Are you enjoying your hop with us?  You've seen what a beautiful creation Amanda has for us today.  www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com  I think I'm more on board this week, as I recreated the inspiration photo.  I sent this one to our little 6 yr. old Addie Lynn in Utah.  Sweet little girl.  I hope you like it as much as I hope she will.  I made my own "Snow" for the branches, which is just equal parts of salt and flour, then add enough water to make a paste.  Heat it from the back a few seconds, and then from the front, and it will puff up.  It's  a little yellowy, so i painted it with white SU ink, just sponging it on.  I love doing this.  Let's see what Helen did.  I sure can't wait to see either.  www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com.  Come back again.  Thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines

Hi ladies, I apoligize for being late.  What a weekend!  My days are all mixed up, because Saturday, we moved our son in the pouring rain, and so naturally, we needed sunday for moving things like matresses and couches.  Now here it is Blog Wednesday already and it feels like Monday... Anyway, you've come from our leader Robbie's blogwww.inkedx2.blogspot.com   I failed to see the christmas, I just saw beachy colors, cause I'm sick of this weather, I guess.  Our colors were So Saffron, Crumb Cake, Brown Sugar, Pool party, Soft Sk, and Sahara Sand.  A beautiful pallete, but nothing came to mind, so I got out my favorite retired stamp again.  I hope it suffices.  I saw Helen's card, and she hit it out of the park!  Go see-www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com  Come back again, and thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines

Happy Wednesday blog hop.  Is everyone in icy surroundings today?  Our trees are covered in ice, which is so beautiful, and so with today's challenge.  This is a very, cold, icy looking inspiration photo.  Did you see what Amanda did with hers?  www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com  The colors we had to work with were: Sahara Sand, Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Marina Mist, Island Indigo, and Lost Lagoon.  Amazingly, I saw a card done by Leena Girsa not too long ago, that made a background using all these beautiful blues.  Her recipe for this background was this:  Use a white cardstock and sponge the following colors in this order.  Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Smoky Slate, and Island Indigo.  Then spritz on the "Coral" stamp from"BY the Tide" (I used Gorgeous Grunge) because my daughter has the Tide set, and stamp onto card with Stampin' Mist.  Then use versamark all over and heat some irredescent ice.  I was out of that, so i used dazzling diamonds.  Gorgeous huh?  Then I made a band from "Seasonally Scattered", in Marina mist, and added some embellishments.  I also scalloped the edge of the card.  Whew!  Got that all out...Let's go see if Helen's card is simpler, but even more beautiful!  www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com.  I hope you are having fun, and thanks for visiting.  Come back next time.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines

Good morning, ladies, and welcome from Amanda's blog.  www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com  I know she has a beautiful entry for us, as always.  So crafty, that girl!  Our colors for today (I think, because I lost my list) were Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke, Mossy Meadow, black and Chocolate Chip.  Anyway, I used the new Festival of Trees and added a tag.  I sponged on the vanilla over my embossed background and put my trees on an oval.  Hope you like it, it's really so much prettier in person. I can't wait to see what Helen did this week.  www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com  Thanks so much for visiting, and enjoy the rest of the hop and the rest of your week.  Come  back again.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines

Welcome, friends!  Amanda has a really pretty entry, doesn't she?  www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com  Our colors for today were Soft Sky, Pistachio Pudding, Basic Black, Perfect Plum, Soft Suede, and Crumb Cake.  I used the stamp set "Long-Time Friend".  It is long retired, but new to me, got it off etsy and I was anxious to ink it up.  How did it come out, do you think?  Very subtle colors together, Robbie does a great job picking out those tones for us.  I am really anxious to see what Helen did, because she is good at putting those selected colors to use. www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com.  Huh?  What did I tell you.  Come back again, and thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines

Another hop today, and October is almost gone!  Wow, where did this year go?  I apologize, I lost my inspiration photos somehow, but Amanda has them, so keep them in mind while here.  www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com  Go back and refer if you need to...  Our colors for this week were Pear Pizazz, Mossy Meadow, Basic Black, Perfect Plum, and Crumb Cake.  I used the new Wondrous Wreath stamp set, and mostly cased these from somewhere.  I changed my hop card just a little, and made a fence to put my wreath on.  The other ones are just in different color schemes.  Hope you like them.  Our next stop is Helen's blog  "can't wait to see this"  as she always does something spectacular.  www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com .  Well, check back in from time to time, I am going to start putting up my Christmas Card stashes that I've been working on.  Thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

Coloring down the Lines

Good morning ladies, and happy Wednesday!  It's raining cats and dogs, here!  And Windy!!!   A good day to stay in and stamp, right?  I bet that's what Amanda's doing as we speak.  Her blog is always fun to visit, as  you know, cause you just came from there.  www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com  Our colors for today were Crushed Curry, Wild Wasabi, Lost Lagoon, Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler.  I used a white background to make the colors show up nice, and used the kissing technique.  Love that, except it mixes your inks up.  Anyway, then I used the black for the Salutation from "Good Greetings" and put some "grunge" on it.  I added a cheerry cobbler ribbon to the inside for a little card to write a letter in. I so want to go on to Helen's blog, cause I missed her last week.  Let's go. www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com  Come back next time, and thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines

Good morning ladies, and welcome from Amanda's blog. (who by the way, has a beautiful interpretation of our inspiration picture)!  www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com  Our colors for this one was Sahara Sand, Bermuda Bay, Night of Navy, Elegant Eggplant, Blackberry Bliss, and Perfect Plum.  Lots of purples... I was at a loss for ideas, then I spied my new polymer set "Wonderful" and thought that would be just fine.  I added some iridescent ice emboss powder to it for some sparkle, just like our stone in the picture.  Let's see if Joni did something sparkly or not.  www.joniinthespotlightstamping.blogspot.com   Come back again and thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

Coloring Dwn the lines-Being Sillly

Hello and welcome from Amanda's blog  www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com.  We are here for another round of coloring down the lines, and hers was fabulous!   Our colors for today were Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Blackberry Bliss, Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight. Sandy picked this inspiration photo, and although I love the colors together, I didn't know what to do.  I drew a blank, and our week started out horrible, had a bad well pump, the dog is sick, and what next?  So to put myself in a little better mood, I thought I'd just be silly, and this is what happened!  I had this halloween set sitting on my desk, but wanted to do flowers.  Whalaa!! (I didn't say I liked it).  I know for sure, that Helen will trump me! Can't wait to see how she will inspire me today.  www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com  Well, come back next week, I'll try to be in a more creative mood.  Thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines- Pink Christmas

Happy Wednesday to you!  Amanda has a beautiful card this week, doesn't she?  www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com  This week's colors are pretty much similar, they are Very Vanilla, Blackberry Bliss, Rose Red, ? I used Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride, and Pink Pirouette.  Not so sure I like my card, but I did  it late last night, and my Christmas Bauble was laying on the table, so I had a Pink Christmas epiphany...   I'm pretty sure Helen will be on her game today, so let's go see, shall we?  www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com  Thanks for visiting, and come back again soon.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines

Happy Wednesday, as this is blog hop day.  I'm sure you loved Amanda's card, www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com, as usual.  Such imagination!  This week's colors, were crisp cantaloupe, tangerine tango, Rose Red, Elegant Eggplant, Garden Green and Pear Pizazz.  I apologize, I wimped out when I laid these colors out, I drew a blank, so I got out the stamp set "Happy Day", which I've had for a long time and never used, and just stmaped it all over for a background.  I used all the colors, and made a salutation from the new leaf die.  Turned out ok, I guess.  Let's go see what Helen made, I'm certain it will wow us...  www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com  Thanks for visiting, and come back again.  Carol Smith
