Coloring Down the Lines - Pretty in Pink

I hope you enjoy the journey through our blog hop today...  You've just come from Amanda's blog www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com.  She always has a gorgeous entry, so enjoy what she created.  This week we are  using Pretty in Pink and I chose to use the creative combination and put certainly celery and bashful blue with it.  How convenient was this color combination, because I have a baby shower coming up soon, and this is exactly what was needed for that.  I used all the colors \for my backdrop by coloring the distressed dots stamp with my markers and embossed the baby feet from " Baby Prints". I made my ribbon by stamping it's a girl on some vellum and wrapping the corner and making a bow.  I hope you like it.  I think it's really sweet!  Next is Helen's blog www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com.  She will totally WOW us again, I'm sure.  So enjoy the rest of the journey!  I can't wait to hop with you.  Thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

"SPOOKTACULAR" (Fall) Tray

Happy Monday everyone!  Since it is officially Fall, I wanted to post my Spooktacular tray for you.  I detest anything to do with Halloween and what it stands for, so I decided to do a FALL tray.  I used my upline's idea and put velcro on the backs so I can do seasonal trays. Stay tuned! The dotted paper has a crystal in each dot.  The cornacopia is made from the doily die and i put a rose inside that.  I hope you like it.  Thanks for visiting! Carol Smith

Bird Nest

Happy Wednesday to ya!  I hope you are enjoying our blog hop today.  It's a shorter list than usual, but just as special.
As you know, I LOVE birds... So when I saw this in an old Stampin Success  issue, I HAD to make one.  What do ya think?  It's a little over-exposed, so it's even prettier in person.  But I just wanted to share it.  Thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines - Rose Red

Welcome to the blog hop.  You've arrived from Robbie's blog.  www.inkedx2.blogspot.com.  She is very crafty, as you know by now, and always is very inspiring. I am always in awe.  This weeks color is Rose Red, and I am using the sweet set, adding elegant eggplant and Baja Breeze.  I put vellum over the Apothecary Framelits and made roses in Rose Red out of some retired sets, and added butterflies and a bow in the baja breeze.  I will put a salutation on it when I have an occasion for it, as I do with most of my cards.  Enjoy.  Now go to the fabulous Helen's blog.  www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com.  She's awesome, and I always want to case her stuff.  Thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

Morning Chat Challenge - Glitter Fall

Happy chat challenge, ladies!  come join us for the morning chat challenge.  Join us in our chats every morning at 10:00 at www.butternutsagedesigns.blogspot.com.  I loved this challenge pick, thanks Donna!  I love glitter and sparkle, so I really did these up...but I could still add some glimmer mist yet, but this is what I did.  I used glitter paper behind the blue one, which is extra shine, and I put glitter on the leaves and then embossed the outlines on the leaves with pewter.  So beautiful when it's under light.  I made the brown one for a friend that I made a custom tablecloth for...it was in these colors.    Let me know how you feel about these.  Thanks for visiting us.  Carol Smith

Frosty Friends & Snowflake Soiree

Happy Monday, everyone!  I am working on all kinds of Christmas cards.  I made 20 of these, and they turned out cute.  I embossed the snowflakes first, and put the snowman band made from the bigz die, Oval- I just cut the ends off. And I put some glitter under the snowmen for some bling.  Hope you like them.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines - Garden Green

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Amanda's entry was fabulous, as usual, I'm sure!  She's always got something beautiful to share at www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com.  Our color for the week was to Use Garden Green, and I chose the creative combination which includes More mustard and chocolate chip.  When I saw these colors, I  was " Inspired by Nature" literally, and saw my blackeyed susans in my garden dancing in my head.  So I pulled out this stamp set and backed it with chocolate chip cardstock and an embossed peice of paper with garden green sponged over it.  I put brads in the corners and added a scrunched up ribbon.  Like it?  I do...  Love it when an idea comes together.  Now go to the very talented Helen's blog at www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com.  I know she will have something we will all love.  Thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

Coloring down the Lines - Always artichoke

It's Wednesday already...My Goodness!  I know that you've been enjoying Amanda's blog at www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com.   She always has the interesting perspectives doesn't she?  This week we are working with Always Artichoke and I used the crumb cake and Bashful Blue with it.  I made the background with versa mark, just stamping oak leaves on it, and black embossing the layered labels set and making my flower with the blossom punch.  THen spritz it with water to shape and I used an antique brad in the center.  To top it all off, I sprited the whole card with champagne shimmer paint.  It makes it gorgeous.  I hope you like it.  Now you can skip to Helen's Wow Factored Blog at www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com.  I can't wait to see what she makes...I know I'll want to case it.  Thanks for visiting. YOu can join in on our chats every morning at www.butternutsagedesigns.blogspot.com and be part of our Sunny Morning Chat!  Carol Smith
