Coloring Down the lines - Cherry Cobbler

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  You've probably just come from Amanda's wonderful blog and enjoyed her take on our challenge.  Her blog is http://www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com/.    Our challenge this week was to use Cherry Cobbler with either Daffodil delight and Early espresso, or Pumpkin pie and night of navy.  I chose the first group. and this is what I did.  I hope you like it.  I like to emboss a lot,, and I also thought the cherry cobbler twine went well with the layered label.  The sentiment is from Trust God which I just LOVE, and the butterflies are from papillon potpourri.  Thanks for visiting.  now go on to Liz's blog at http://www.lizzystamps.wordpress.com/.  Come on along, everyone.  Carol Smith

Sunny Morning Chat Challenge

Welcome to our Sunny Morning Chat Challenge over at Donna's blog at http://www.butternutsagedesigns.blogspot.com/.   This time our challenge was to usse only 3 or the new in-colors.  I chose primrose petals, gumball green and summer starfruit.  I only put a tiny sliver of cream between to seperate them a little, and added a new Vintage  button to the center.  So easy.  I cut the flower from a retired big die. and used little leaves.  Hope you enjoy all of our entries.  Though it seems like everyone is at convention, I so appreciate all your posts... I feel like I'm there with you.   Thank you everyone for taking the time to share your experiences.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the lines Blog Hop - Cajan Craze

Thanks for hopping with us...You just came from Amanda's blog at http://www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com/.  She's Very Crafty, isn't she?  Our challenge color this week was Cajan Craze, and I put Old Olive and Baja Breeze with it.  Wasn't quite sure what to do, so when I lay out all my colors, I always seem to get a feel and an inspiration.  this is what I did...Used the main color for the background card, and embossed the  poppies stamp in black on the newsprint paper, and mounted it on green, then added a baja breeze bow and doily,.  Turned out pretty nice, I think.  Let me know how YOU feel.  Now it's time to hop over to Liz's blog at http://www.lizzystamps.wordpress.com/.  She is also very gifted, so go enjoy her creation... Sister's stamp- Winter Well

Hello- This turned out a little dark, but if you come close, you can see the snow is bubbled up like it's really there.  I put glitter on top of this paste, and it just glows.  The card is actually bright red, but there's a little dark shadow.  Makes a beautiful Christmas Card.  Hope you enjoy it.  Let me know, girls...  Thanks for visiting. Carol Smith

Sister's stamps-Pussywillows

I think this looks so real.  The paste that accomplishes this is equal parts flour and salt.  Add enough water to make paste.  Put on your image and heat from the back and then heat the front until it pops up and dries.  It will turn whiter when this occurs.  I hope you will try this if you have not already.  It's really  neat.  Thanks for visiting today.  Come back for more.  Carol Smith

Sister's stamps

This picture is taken flat so you can see how the paste makes it pop up...like 3-D.  Thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

Sassy Salutations-Happy Birthday/A Cherry on Top

This is a birthday card I made for my Mother-in-law.  The dots and cupcakes are something from somewhere else, but they mix well with the SU cake stand and emboss folder in the background.  Very happy and bright!  The icing on the cupcakes have the crystal effects on.  Makes them stand out.  I hope you like it...  Thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

Heartfelt Thanks

I borrowed some old classics from my sister this week, and made this one from Heartfelt Thanks set...  Hope you like it.  There will be more oldies coming.  Thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines- More Mustard

You've just arrived from Amanda's blog at http://www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com/ where I know she made a beautiful card.  Our challenge this week was to use more mustard.  I chose the sweet set with more mustard, old olive and bravo burgundy.  Every time I see these colors together, I just start to think of Christmas!  I took advantage of this and used the new open sleigh and glitter set the tree from the old favorite Lovely as a Tree.  Pretty, isn't it?  Enjoy and thanks for visiting our blogs.  Now go on over to Liz's blog at http://www.lizzystamps.wordpress.com/.  She is also very talented. Come back again next week.  Carol Smith

with sympathy

Happy Saturday, everyone!  Does everyone have their computers checked for the ghost virus?  http://www.dns-ok.us/.  I made this sympathy card for a church members parent.  The background for it was cased, I just Love it!  All you do is sponge your color in a stencil from the new label dies and punch around the edge.  It's so cute, I thought it HAD to cheer someone up.    I love it, will be making more of this idea on cards to come.  Thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith PS   I used Marina Mist for the coloring.

Sunny Morning Chat challenge-Picnic

Welcome to the Sunny Morning Chat Challenge!  This week's challenge is a picnic theme.  I realize this is lame for that subject, but I don't have any  barbeque stamps, persay.  My idea of a picnic is an outdoor ride or walk where you take a basket and spread out a cloth on the ground, around the lake and have a picnic. Enjoy the day and all God's creation!  Thanks for visiting.  Follow us and join in at our chat at http://www.butternutsagedesigns.blogspot.com/.  Carol Smith

Happy Wednesday!  You are following our blog hop, Coloring down the lines.  You have come from Amanda's blog at http://www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com/.  I know you enjoyed her work.  This week we were assigned Old Olive.  I chose the second color option on the card which is Old olive, pretty in pink, and night of navy. Using Betsy's blossom stamp set, I cut out a circle from the front with the flower inside, a blue bird and pink bow  I also embossed down the front and put some little crystals on it for a pop.  Thanks for stopping by.  Now go to Liz's blog at http://www.lizzystamps.wordpress.com/ to see what she has made!

Betsy's blossoms

Happy Monday!  I saw these cards made by someone, don't remember who, and had all the tools to make them, so I made 4 just to have on hand.  They are absolutely beautiful!  The only thing I changed was the band of starfruit border punch which I think is prettier than the strip of paper that WAS there.  Thanks for visiting... Jenny's wedding gift

I heard that Jenny wanted aunt Carol to make her a sampler for her home, so here is what my daughter and I made for her.  I think she will be thrilled with it.  We did it in her wedding colors, royal blue and chartreuse.  Enjoy... Carol Smith

Summer Solstice

Good Monday Morning, ladies!  My sister is missing all her friends since she moved to Everett.  So she wanted some cards to send them a note.  I love how these turned out.  I used part of the Delicate Designs folder for the edge at the bottom, and stamped the flower and butterfly, verse from Summer solstice.  I couldn't resist putting some glitter glue on the flower center and butterfly.  Beautiful, and SIMPLE!   Thanks for visiting...CArol Smith

Summer Solstice

I made her 20 of these.  i hope that's enough, but they were easy!!!!  I made myself some without the verse on, so I can use them for thank you's or whatever.  Thanks for visiting... Carol Smith
