Coloring Down the Lines

Welcome from Amanda's blog at www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com !  She outdid herself today.  Love her ideas....  Everyone who knows me knows I love topiaries, so when I saw these little pots in the inspiration photo, I knew I had to do a topiary!  Pretty cute, I must say.  Let me know what you think.  Our colors were Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, which I sponged over the first color, and made a pot of the Cajun Craze, and the wreath is both Garden Green and Wild Wasabi, with Blackberry Bliss flowers.  I can't wait to see what Helen made, so let's go see.  www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com  .  Thanks for visiting, and come back again!  Carol Smith

Christmas Cases

Good morning, and happy Tuesday to you!  I am in the process of stockpiling Christmas Cards, and thought I'd share some of them with you.  I made approx. 50 of each of these.  They were cased and tweaked from either pinterest of other blogs, but i just love 'em.  The star is another project in progress...  Labor intensive, but worth it.  What do ya think?  Thanks for visiting.  Come back tomorrow for our Coloring Down the Lines Hop.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines Hop

Hey ladies, enjoying the hop so far?  I am-  this is a good week to go nautical.  Labor Day weekend... You've just come from Amanda's blog www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com . Loved her card.  This week's colors are Soft sky, Marina Mist, Pacific Point, Night of Navy, Real Red and Crisp Cantaloupe.  I used a New-to-me retired set that I have been looking for forever... Just sponge the background with all the colors, and I added the die in the corner and cut off a couple of the wings so you could see more of the background.   Opinions, please?  Let's see what our Helen made this week, I'm sure it will be spectacular!!  www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com  Comeback next week, and enjoy the rest of the hop.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines

Hey, it's once again Wednesday, our blog hop, and I hope your day is going great!   Mine is, because I have my little Gabriel with me today.  You have just come from seeing a  beautiful card by Amanda www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com  She is very imaginative and creative, right?  Well, I picked this inspiration photo, and I had a very different idea from these colors from what i did!  The colors are: Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Soft Suede, Crisp Cantaloupe, and So Saffron.  (colorful names, huh).  Anyway, when I laid out all my elements, I had an epiphany- I used the so saffrorn as the center of my flowers, and the rest came together just like that..  Oh, and by the way, those tabs on the wreath are there for a reason!!!  From now on, I mark with a pencil, those tabs, or else  you can't find the right position to use the cutting die.  WOW!  .Hope you like it.  I'm anxious to see what Helen did.www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com  She's a hard act to preceed, I don't know how she comes up with all her ideas.  Love her work.  So let me know what ya think, and come back again.  Enjoy the rest of your day.  Carol Smith

Cards for Niece

Hey everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday...The weather is perfect here.  These are just some ideas I was conjuring up for my niece, who tutors, and she ordered some Birthday cards and cards for her students, to show them she appreciates their efforts.  Of course, she loved them all, but I am busy making her what she wants.  Hope you get some ideas.  Thanks for visiting.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines

It's that time again, as you know from being at Amanda's blog on our hop!  www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com  She has an awesome creation for us, don't you think?  (As always).  I just LOVE this color palette- Blushing Bride, Pear Pizazz, Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, and Pool Party.  Most of these are the new In-Colors.  Gorgeous!!!  My card looks much  better in the flesh, but all I did was emboss the image in white, and color and sponge on the rest, with the exception of masking the circle for the moon.  My little salutation doesn't show up too well on camera, but tell me what you think of it... Let's go to Helen's site, and I know you will be inspired once again.  www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com  Thanks for visiting,  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines

Good morning ladies!  As you know, this is the Wednesday hop and you've just come from our talented Amanda's blog. www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com  Her card is awesome as always.  This was a real color challenge for me, and my card just sorta happened.  Hope you like it, the colors are all in there, but the greens tend to blend together a bit.  Our color seeds were Very Vanilla, Crisp Cantaloupe, Basic Black, Garden Green,  Wild Wasabi, and Pistachio Pudding.  The I love us was intended to be shadowed, but it just looks a little blurred.  Oh well, it is what it is.  :)  Let's see what Helen has made for us today,  www.bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com and again, it will be gorgeous!  Can't wait to see the rest.  Enjoy and come back again.  Hugs to all.  Carol Smith
