Just believe, Notably Ornate

Ok, ladies, another beauty... I made this for a challenge a while back that never happened, for whatever reason...  I reminds me of a serene summer evening.  The embossed background is sponged in 2 different blues, the frame from notably ornate is embossed in pewter, and soft suede ink rubbed into it.  I finished it off with an antique brad!  Enjoy... Coloring down the lines- Just Believe/Tempting Turquoise

Happy Blog Hopping! You've just come from Robbies blog at http://www.inkedx2.blogspot.com/.  I know she had something beautiful for us.  This week we were to make a card using Tempting Turquoise and I chose the turquoise, pumpkin pie and rich razzleberry option.  I used the Just Believe stamp set and some DSP to accomplish this task.  Hope you like it.  I think I do.  I made my own border simply by cutting around the stamp along the bottom on both the front and back.  Now go to Liz's blog to see her creation... http://www.lizzystamps.wordpress.com/.  Thanks for following us.  Carol Smith

Wedding cards - Kindness Matters

Hello, I was asked to make a wedding card for a couple from church that were married last weekend.  Her main color was hot pink, so I ran with it.  I hope they like it.  I embossed the background, and put a doily die on top of that with a white and pink bow.  I embossed the butterfly in pewter from the Kindness Matters set.  Thanks for visiting... Sunny Morning Chat Challenge - Baker's Twine

Good morning!  and Welcome to the Sunny Morning Chat Challenge over at Donna's blog at http://www.butternutsagedesigns.blogspot.com/.  We always have fun here, so come on along.  We were challenged this week to use 25% Baker's Twine on our cards.  I will tell you what!  These challenges are VERY Beneficial to me.  They REALLY get my mind in gear.  I had no idea what to do, but one thing led to another, and this is what came of it.  I have to say this is so stink'in CUTE, I didn't know I had this in me.  I only had Red Twine, so i went with a Christmas theme, and made a wreath out of an embossed doily, punched holes in each section, and gathered my twine over each one, and anchored with a glittered brad.  I added a glittery bow over the corners, and put on the DSP of red plaid.  I think I'll have to buy some more twine, so I can make some more of these.   Let me know what you think, k?  Thanks for looking.  carol Smith

Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop-Pacific Point

Welcome to our color hop! You should have come from Amanda's blog at http://www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com/.  I know she had a beautiful card for you.    Our color this week is Pacific Point, and I chose the sweet set of pacific point, daffodil delight and rich razzleberry.  I would not have chosen these colors together, but this made me go out of my comfort zone.  I used punches, and embossed some vellum with the Nature Walk set, watercolor a little on the back just to pop it a little.  Add a bow, I hope you like it, it's not my style, but it's not too bad, I guess.  Thanks for hopping, now hop on over to Jessica's blog at http://www.stampandscrapwithjessica.blogspot.com/.  She is also going to have something spectacular and colorful!  Enjoy, Carol Smith
