Coloring Down the lines - Cherry Cobbler

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  You've probably just come from Amanda's wonderful blog and enjoyed her take on our challenge.  Her blog is http://www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com/.    Our challenge this week was to use Cherry Cobbler with either Daffodil delight and Early espresso, or Pumpkin pie and night of navy.  I chose the first group. and this is what I did.  I hope you like it.  I like to emboss a lot,, and I also thought the cherry cobbler twine went well with the layered label.  The sentiment is from Trust God which I just LOVE, and the butterflies are from papillon potpourri.  Thanks for visiting.  now go on to Liz's blog at http://www.lizzystamps.wordpress.com/.  Come on along, everyone.  Carol Smith

Sunny Morning Chat Challenge

Welcome to our Sunny Morning Chat Challenge over at Donna's blog at http://www.butternutsagedesigns.blogspot.com/.   This time our challenge was to usse only 3 or the new in-colors.  I chose primrose petals, gumball green and summer starfruit.  I only put a tiny sliver of cream between to seperate them a little, and added a new Vintage  button to the center.  So easy.  I cut the flower from a retired big die. and used little leaves.  Hope you enjoy all of our entries.  Though it seems like everyone is at convention, I so appreciate all your posts... I feel like I'm there with you.   Thank you everyone for taking the time to share your experiences.  Carol Smith

Coloring Down the lines Blog Hop - Cajan Craze

Thanks for hopping with us...You just came from Amanda's blog at http://www.ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com/.  She's Very Crafty, isn't she?  Our challenge color this week was Cajan Craze, and I put Old Olive and Baja Breeze with it.  Wasn't quite sure what to do, so when I lay out all my colors, I always seem to get a feel and an inspiration.  this is what I did...Used the main color for the background card, and embossed the  poppies stamp in black on the newsprint paper, and mounted it on green, then added a baja breeze bow and doily,.  Turned out pretty nice, I think.  Let me know how YOU feel.  Now it's time to hop over to Liz's blog at http://www.lizzystamps.wordpress.com/.  She is also very gifted, so go enjoy her creation... Sister's stamp- Winter Well

Hello- This turned out a little dark, but if you come close, you can see the snow is bubbled up like it's really there.  I put glitter on top of this paste, and it just glows.  The card is actually bright red, but there's a little dark shadow.  Makes a beautiful Christmas Card.  Hope you enjoy it.  Let me know, girls...  Thanks for visiting. Sister's stamps-Pussywillows

I think this looks so real.  The paste that accomplishes this is equal parts flour and salt.  Add enough water to make paste.  Put on your image and heat from the back and then heat the front until it pops up and dries.  It will turn whiter when this occurs.  I hope you will try this if you have not already.  It's really  neat.  Thanks for visiting today.  Come back for more.  Carol Smith
